Aligned·By·Design is modular. The scalable, modular architecture allows incremental implementations of the system from any starting point by any Role.

Aligned·By·Design leverages state-of-the-art technology to make it feasible for States, LEAs and Teachers to work in a unified way to achieve and sustain student achievement. The original research and design of the A·B·D software application started with solving problems in the classroom and evolved to a Student learning centric system of complementary modules that supports education at all levels, States, Districts, Schools, Teachers, Students, and Parents,  because without working together, broad-based high-level improvement in Classroom outcomes will not materialize.

Aligned·By·Design makes developing and maintaining detailed Standards, instructional Curriculum and Assessments in perfect alignment a reality. Significant to this capability is the extension of the A·B·D tools and processes to the Teacher for customizing and differentiating instruction to individual Student needs, while maintaining alignment and offering support for daily classroom activities.

A·B·D is a general tool that is applicable to any educational situation for pre-K, K-12, vocational and post-secondary. Aligned·By·Design is a process tool and library system for education. It is a Knowledge centric system meaning that all materials map or link to Knowledge to eliminate the problems of gaps and ambiguity in content. The availability of Knowledge also provides support for less experienced Teachers, Students who need on-point reference materials and Parents who are often called upon to help, but cannot because they previously lacked access to the Knowledge content. And, the common Library of Knowledge between Assessment writers and Teachers assures Teachers that teaching to aligned instructional Curriculum will indeed achieve good EOY test results.
