SundRy Announces 2010 Release of Aligned·By·Design

Click for Information on Aligned By Design CHANTILLY, VA - - SundRy Education announced today that  the Aligned·By·Design system will be released in early 2010. Culminating years of research and development, the core system will include the Knowledge, Standards/Frameworks, and Curriculum modules, enabling states, districts and teachers to work with existing standards and curriculum and map out the underlying knowledge and skills to be taught in classrooms. The Common Core State Standards, once available, will be loaded into A·B·D and made available to users, to enable states to compare them with current state standards and build out the balance of the content standards for adoption, as well as allowing teachers to readily compare to their current classroom curriculum. The system provides tools and a repository for loading, creating, editing, linking and sharing Standards Frameworks and Curriculum, with assignment of durable links and includes configuration management controls including versioning, audit trails and release control. The Curriculum module allows existing curriculum materials including unit plans and lesson plans at the state, local or teacher level to be loaded with durable links to Standards for alignment and provides analysis tools for validating sequential class coverage, alternate path coverage, and vertical and horizontal integration.



SundRy Education Supports Aligned·By·Design Initiative

CHANTILLY, VA - SundRy Education announces its technical support for the Aligned·By·Design Initiative promoting the use of the innovative, knowledge-centric Aligned·By·Design model for education systems. The Initiative promotes adoption and acceptance of the model and is seeking foundation support to establish a “common cause” knowledge library. SundRy Education has committed the Aligned·By·Design software system to support this effort. The mission on the Initiative is to eliminate the root problem impeding student achievement gains and systemically close chronic learning gaps and raise academic performance levels.
